What is the PCD program?

PCD stands for Preferred Chiropractic Doctor.

Membership in Preferred Chiropractic Doctor means that you are assured of quality, effective chiropractic care at affordable fees. Your membership guarantees that you receive a minimum of a 25% discount at participating provider locations.

In many states, it is illegal for a chiropractor to charge an uninsured patient less than what he or she submits for an insured patient unless they participate in a program such as PCD. Chiropractors who are part of the PCD preferred network understand that patients with no insurance shouldn't have to pay the same fee because there is much less administration costs associated with a patient who pays an affordable cash fee.

Our office has all the paperwork you need to join the PCD program as an individual or for the whole family.

Per your contract with PCD, your membership is temporarily suspended for Workers’ Compensation or Person Injury (injuries involving insurance or attorneys) cases.  PCD is only for persons without insurance since those cases involve considerably more administrative costs.

Contact our clinic if you have any specific questions that are not answered by the PCD website.

Dr. Norma, DC Asks some important questions of interest to Sherman residents - Chiropractor Sherman Dr. Norma, DC Asks...

Can someone who has had back surgery receive chiropractic care?
Yes. Rest assured that we will avoid the surgically modified areas of your spine. However, what we find is that surgical interventions will often produce spinal instability above or below the involved level. This is will be the focus of your chiropractic care.
What's the difference between sick care and health care?
Sick care is largely about relieving or suppressing symptoms. Health care is about improving performance. While sick care is about how you feel, health care is about how you function. Sick care is what you do to treat an obvious problem, and health care is what you do to avoid the problem and advance your well-being.
